Slavery and the south

Slavery has long been outlawed in New England, though the Blaine Goverment issued a statement being critical of the South allowance of Slavery, The New Federalists oppose the Confederacy joining the American Commenwealth.

Commenwealth/Governors

Blaine has refused to reinstate governors citing a need for a strong fedreal Goverment even though some supporters have called for a 'ceremonial capacity' Blaine has refused. The Commenwealth divided the NF and the Freedom Party, but now parties have Mostly taken a Stand with Blaine's New Federalist supporting the Commenwealth while Hamlin's Freedom Party against it.

New Brunswick

Despite a small trading issue with new england over Protectionism many including Blaine have supporting the peaceful annexation of The 'Atlantic territories' starting with New Brunswick. Though MFA Hobart Bigelow ended up resigning over failure to progress.

Bradley Barlow stepped down due to previous scandals.
