I'm hoping that you could help me use this program when I have very little to no knowledge of it.

I work in science and am using premier pro to mark videos with specific instances that happen during the videos. There are different categories of these instances like "opening" and "closing" and "dancing" and "sitting". The main goal is time the length of each event so I can go back and say "they were sitting for 5 minutes here" and "they opened for 1.5 minutes here".

In the end there will be a lot of these videos, and then I can says the average time for these people sitting was 10 minutes, across all the videos.

Anyways, I am currently using markers and then tagging them with each event. Hopibg I can extract all these markers with the same name to an excel to analyze it later. Is this the best way of doing this or is there a better and easier way?
