This Layman's Take on the Harry Kane Signing
Post Body

I'll go ahead and jump the gun here, at risk of looking the fool, and presume Harry is gonna sign and get what he wants to stay at home at Tottenham... Because lord only knows, tomorrow we could wake up, and Harry could be on his way to Saudi Arabia, where we'll never see from him again except in the media. I mean, no foreigners are actually gonna watch those games really are they?...

Anyways, as a guy who doesn't get hung up on the deep scoop and the insider knowledge, who likes to sit back and enjoy the surprise of the breaking news, this is how I'll imagine the Harry Kane saga went:

Bayern wanted him. Tottenham wanted him. Maybe, Harry would've said yes to either. Bayern made an offer and got the drift pretty early on that Tottenham wasn't gonna sell. Harry did the responsible thing at that point and allowed the bidding process to play out, so he could get everything he was worth. Bayern went on to take every length of their offers to show that they tried everything in their power to get the deal done, and also get some satisfaction of delay and up-bidding in the process over Tottenham as consolation for their un-satisfaction

Now, I just wish the club would pay up at full price to get this season underway with no reservations. The return on investment seems a sure-thing for the English striker
