As much of a fan as he was of the show, Jack wasn’t really into cosplaying the male lead of the show, or really into cosplay at all. The concept confused him, and from the times he’d gone to conventions, he was one of the few people who’d gone in typical street clothing, and not fully decked out in some lavish costume emulating a fictional character.

It was YOU that had introduced him to the magic of cosplaying, and it helped that you were a fan of the same anime that he followed, and that you were an able hand when it came to sewing and stitching costumes together. You introduced Jack to going to conventions in costume, and for that, he was grateful to you.

Fast forward to a few months in the future. A couple of months after you stitched Jack’s first costume together, you got pregnant with your boyfriend (who you thought loved you). Unfortunately, he ended flaking out on you.

Relatively confident that you could raise the baby on your own, you went about your business, which included continuing your sewing business and cosplaying — with generous alterations, of course, to account for your growing bust, stomach, buttocks, and thighs.

In the middle of making some alterations to an older costume, your phone begins to ring. Jack’s calling, and you haven’t really seen him around since you made him his costume — or since you got pregnant.

This is a more unusual and experimental prompt that I’m trying out. Although Jack (basically myself IRL) is a bit of a weeaboo/anime fan (as am I), make no mistake. He’s not exactly an ugly fellow:
