I was daydreaming this week and this idea struck me. I thought I'd post it and see if anyone else is interested in it.

The concept is simple, a small group moves or is stranded on a remote, uninhabited tropical island. They soon find that the unique location is a new Eden and perfect to make a home. It has stunning natural landscapes and unusual plants and animals, but nonetheless offers a wonderful place to call home. Perhaps the island is more welcoming than they realize. The place may have a strange effect on the new inhabitants and boost their fertility and libidos, making sure that a growing community will call the island home. I'd love to include physical changes that prove these changes.

I had a few ideas for a premise:

• Set in the 1800s (or another earlier period), a ship of colonists or travellers end up stranded on the island and are forced to make it their home to survive.
• Set between 1900-1960, a group of explorers/scientists visit the island for long-term research.
• Set in contemporary times, the individuals (a traveling sports team, a vacation group, etc.) end up there after a crash or shipwreck, or perhaps choose to go there.

The island could be relatively normal, or the animals/plants could be special and affect people, or maybe it's some sort of magic or something supernatural, like the sleeping goddess who rules over the island spreads her influence to the new arrivals. It is not required, but I'd love to have more than one woman paired up to my character.
