Hello Everybody,
I had my rainbow baby on the 25th of August, I couldn't be happier. I had an assisted delivery and induction due to my water's breaking without going into labour. That happen at 6am on the 24th, the induction was booked for 10pm if I didn't go into labour naturally. I really didn't want one but needed it for medical reasons.
I turned up with the hospital at 10pm, a tablet was inserted into my cervix after they checked me and the baby over. By 11pm, I was in labour and ready to push at 11am the next day. Unfortunately, I needed to have an episiotomy as baby got stuck in the birth canal and I couldn't push anymore after 2 hours. The delivery team where amazing and I couldn't fault them, they took us into threater with my partner and did the episiotomy and forceps delivery. My boy came out healthy, couldn't stop crying at the relief off this.
Spent a night on the postnatal ward as I needed to recovery and they where checking baby for infection as it was born over 24 hours after my waters went.
Thank you so much to everyone in this community that has supported us throughout my whole pregnancy. It's massively appreciated! I do feel like I would have been lost without you.
