Hi, all. I’m solo traveling for a while and will be in Prague in early February. I’m a guy in his mid-30’s who’s just curious about picking up on the real culture of your city/area. Feel free to advise.
I’m taking a few day trips. 1 - karlovy vary, 2 - either cesky krumlov or cesky budejovice (I’ve read that the latter feels more authenticly Czech), 3 - kutna hora. I think I’ll also take in my first opera while I’m there.
Don’t be afraid to suggest things that don’t seem what most typically want to see while traveling either. I plan on spending some time off the beaten path as well.
Of course, suggestions for museums, and churches, and bars are greatly appreciated. But if you have a favorite grocery store, or small art exhibit, or Vietnamese place you like to eat, awesome. I’m all ears.
Thanks for any advice!
Edit: forgot to mention that I’ll be staying at an Airbnb in Praha 3. So, advice in that area may be more relevant.
