Anyone know of an Uninterruptible Power Supply that can use external, user supplied lead acid batteries?
Post Body

Hey,

I recently acquired a good number of lead acid batteries that I'd like to create a large UPS out of. I tried looking, but couldn't find a UPS or other power supply that would allow me to use these batteries with it (instead of a unit with integrated/internal batteries). I plan to charge these batteries via, depending on availability, wall 120VAC power, a generator 120VAC power, or solar cells.

I figure companies generally make you buy a whole system so you have to replace it when the batteries die.

Does anyone know of a UPS like this or of a similar solution that would work?

Many thanks!
