Question About Kamelots First Singer

So awhile ago I tried to sit through their first album with the original singer. But I could only get through about half of it. The instrumentals are good but the singer just made my ears hurt. Now lately I’ve been thinking about giving those albums another go. But I want to start slow.
What are the redeemable songs from those albums?
What did you all think about them?
Is the OG singer still the same or did he improve?
