I'm struggling to get a report to show the last 30 days of data on refresh while still allowing the user to enter their own custom range on the date input box of the date slicer (the between version).

Getting the report to show the last x days is easy enough, but what I've failed to do is to allow the user to enter their own date range because the filters don't allow the user to select dates that fall outside of that period. To complicate things, the report must have those data input boxes and the solution must be easily accessible for users unfamiliar with PBI (so I can't tell them to click the visual header to change the slicer into a relative date slicer).

Has anyone here dealt with a similar request? I've spent hours looking for an answer and I don't know if this request's just not possible or if I'm asking the wrong question...
