Could anyone tell me if CraftSmart natural clay from Michaels is fireable?
Post Body
I got my 4yr old daughter a junky wheel that was on clearance at Michaels for cheap and a big chunk of natural clay:
Somehow I managed to throw a nice little teacup that I would like to fire and glaze. I've got a little electric oven at work used for treating steel that can get up around 1400C. Has anyone ever fired CraftSmart natural clay before? I've read up on firing to "cone" specifications. How does one see how far a cone has deformed without opening the door on their kiln?
