Crystalline Glaze Testing Blue
Post Body

First test firing for Crystalline Glaze

Body: English Porcelain from Laguna Firing: Oxidation Ramp up to 1260 - Hold for 20 minutes Natural Cool to 1090 - Hold for 45 minutes Natural Cool

Glaze Recipe: Frit 3110 - 300 grams Frit 644 - 150 grams Silica - 250 grams Zinc - 250 grams Titanium Dioxide - 10 grams Black Copper Oxide - 40 grams Bismuth Oxide - 15 grams Cobalt Carbonate - 7 grams Cobalt Oxide - 7 grams CMC - 10 grams Water - 600 grams

Sieved through 200 mesh and applied to testers with a brush

Next time I’d like to reduce some of the crystal patterns because they’re too high density on half. Also I’d probably reduce the amount of cobalt colorants cause I want something a tad lighter.

Feedback from people who have experience firing crystalline is welcome.

Thanks all!
