The Empire of Polynesia was wrecked with the coup executed by Admiral Taro and the rest of his junta. In the aftermath, Polynesia began preparing for numerous pullouts in the various colonies it had collected under Eketone. These developments combined with a resolution appearing on the horizon over the on-going conflict in Tasmania had pushed Polynesia to prepare for mass-demobilization. It's opponent, the Murribunji Freeholds, similarly looked to make back a portion of its cost in the rapid growth of its military in the face of war. The Republic of China had extensive arms deals with both nations in the past, and sought to leverage these relationships to arm the National Revolutionary Army. The NRA's zeal in growing its forces and the on-going threat of the Empire of China had pushed the domestic factories of the Republic of China to the brink, and existing issues with supplying infantry equipment and ammunition dating back decades had still not be permanently resolved. Instead of working on doing so, the Republic of China would spend billions of its cash reserves to import thousands of crates of infantry equipment that would be trucked out to supply depots throughout the Republic. The logistical issues that would be created in this process would be immense, as various calibers and replacement parts would be hoarded while some equipment would come with vastly too few extra parts. However, compared to the "two men, one rifle" strategy that had been recently employed by the National Revolutionary Army it was a meaningful improvement. One old Chinese rifle with a new and improved, and only partially working, Polynesian rifle was a massive step up.
