The atmosphere inside the Chamber of Deputies is one of dread and suspicion. No one prepared for this day to happen. While most members of the Parlament knew of potential domestic dangers to the government and armed elements inside Polynesia, none prepared for the possibility nigh the thought of the God Emperor's sacrosanctity being so thoroughly violated. The following sessions of Parlament have been described rightly so as "a shit show" with multiple parties exchanging blame and suspicion over the others. The Worker's Party's opposition leader Sandra Lee Vercroe is as prominent as always boldly denounced members of the TEB and the far-right parties for allowing members of their party to participate in race riots across the country. The far-right bloc in exchange denounced the Worker's Party for being "in bed with the communists". The liberal center tried their best to bring order to Parlament and calm down the situation with the Prime Minister shocked at the lack of discipline. Fortunately, the Melanesian and Austronesian members of parliament who lacked white representation in their countries, they were spared the trouble and had little interest or attention in victim-blaming, they simply wanted to find a solution to this crisis, aligned with the liberals to find a coherent response to the crisis.

The government established a multi partisan commission to investigate the events of June 12th, conduct police raids on suspects related to the perpetrators, background checks on those responsible, bring the plotters to justice, conduct interviews on their family members and judge those responsible. Members of the AIPP party had their votes censured and their assets frozen due to suspicions of involvement with the palace coup attempt at great uproar from within Parlament.

The Prime Minister went on air issuing a total denunciation of the violence taking place against members of the white minority wrestling control over the Polynesian Imperial Civil Guard to crack down severely on race rioters, rabble rousers, and roving gangs of armed militias. He then launched his own initiative of purifying the Civil Guard from officers who reportedly allowed the violence to go unimpeded as well as launching an investigation by members of his party of elements of the civil service who had influence or contacts with those responsible. He later issued an executive order to put in effect all these goals. Parlament in response to the violence passed a bill banning the use of civilian firearm ownership both to prevent the public from using legally attained weapons from hurting people and to be used by militias.
