As stated previously, the collapse of the Shanting Tianguo represents a great opportunity for us to become a global naval hegemon, a prize many of our high commands thought to be an impossible task... until now...

However, as time went on, a sense of unease and dread overtook the citizens of the Empire and its government. Could despite the best efforts of the Empire not be enough to sustain peace in Oceania, what if APSAP's contradictions prove too great for joint interests to overcome? The rise of totalitarianism and authoritarianism around the world is gravely concerning to most private citizens in the empire. The state refrains from pointing fingers at anyone, nevertheless, the dread continues, and with it, insecurity. Polynesia must never, ever, be rivaled at sea if it is to fully secure its existence from any country, empire, or nation that treads the vast oceans of the Pacific. As of late, no challenger has dared to challenge the Polynesian Armada now, but in the near future, that might easily change, Should the old powers of Asia unite and rebuild their glories, they will easily overtake Polynesia's supremacy at sea. This must be prevented at all costs or if not delayed for as long as possible as we continue growing and expanding in order to secure this destiny.

As of now, we must bide our time, The armed forces were once again neglected somewhat during the first tenure of the Worker's Party, with most of their time being spent on recovering from the Financial Crash, While recovery is not within sight at this time, the state is now forced to invest much of its available resources on the navy with approval from the Moanas and Marinas Party. Specifically, on technology, the Admiralty approved new secondary gun designs of 120mm, 130mm dual-purpose artillery, autoloader mechanisms for artillery guns, improved armor plating, modernized radar, and fire control computers, A new 500mm super-heavy artillery cannon was developed with the intention to be fitted to our dreadnought type battleships, the heaviest caliber of naval artillery to date, advanced sonar, more powerful engines, stronger automatic anti-aircraft cannons capable of knocking down large airships, and degaussing hulls for mine warfare protection

Rumors have it off the Empire of Polynesia importing secret technologies from abroad regarding the novel use of rocketry to carry munitions across vast distances and developing new ship types specializing in rocket munitions. Naval designers were seen hard at work drafting almost futuristic next-generation designs of warships for the Armada, perhaps this is what shall ensure the security of the Empire.
