History:

In the hills and mountains of Tibet lay the exiles. Various members of the Bhutanese military and bandits who had aligned together after being forced out of Burma. Originally they united under the Bhutan Army but soon enough the amount of religious exiles and militias outnumbered the Bhutan Army and soon they merged into the Burmese Liberation and Peace Society. The BLPS stayed in the hills and mountains, only doing small raids against the Laymen's Organization and the Chinese with the small amount of equipment they had. That was until one of the more successful bandits started to win battles against other bandit generals and against any of the Laymen's Organization militias that stood on the border. Quickly he gained the respect of the BLPS and the Bhutanese Army, uniting them together under his one banner.

During this time the bandit was injured greatly in a battle, being shot through his right eye. He was lucky to survive but he came out a completely different person. No longer was he the jovial Burmese revolutionary, he came out the Maitreya. Once he had recovered he had his name removed from all records and only responded to Baya (Literally meaning 'God') or Maitreya. His close friends would note (only behind closed doors) that he went from a happy kind man to someone dedicated only towards the birth of a New Order, someone who was willing to do whatever was necessary to achieve his goal. After his rebirth as the Maitreya he went on a reign of terror against the BLPS, purging what he thought were 'undesirables' and people not loyal to his new deified personality. Those who stood by him were appointed as "Loyal Wise Bodhisattvas" and they became his new General Caste. Those who were appointed as Bodhisattvas were considered to be the right hands of the Maitreya, because of this their word was law. Anyone who rejected the Maitreya or the Bodhisattvas were subject to re-education, torture, and slavery.

With the BLPS purged down to its roots and rebuilt, the Maitreya renamed the organisation and established the "The Heavenly Kingdom on Earth of the Maitreya and his Demon-Vanquishing Army". This organisation was built up from the loyalists from the Bhutan Army, various Buddhist militias, Maitreyan Cultists, and Bandits who had followed Maitreya before his divine awakening. Although his army was built up with monastics and scholars many thought of Maitreya as nothing more than a Bandit-King who had manipulated power into his own hands. However, the old enemy known as the Laymen's Organization had been defeated in a coup and been replaced by the Wangchuk. This brought even more and more hidden Bhutanese and Burmese who fled into Tibet to the front who quickly joined up with the Maitreya under the goal of helping the Royal Family. The Maitreya saw the opportunity to secure his reign and allied with the once Monastic state claiming to be the Military Arm of the Wangchuk Dynasty and Defender of Buddhism.
