Representatives from the Emir and Piligraun have congregated at the Wondama Province of the Emirate to officially transfer the region to Piligraunese administration. Those representing Piligraun heavily discouraged the initial suggestion to perform the ceremony at the makeshift port established at the Western end of the region, having no doubt been used for the transportation of thousands of soldiers and civil administrators of the Emirate to colonize Papuan land. It would have been too hard to ignore.
Instead, the ceremony was held on the summit of Pegunungan Wondiwoi, one of the tallest mountains in the region, overlooking a bountiful area of coral and turquoise sea. The Emirate flag was carefully drawn down, and the Piligraunese flag hoisted up, Prince Phillip's printed face glistening in the sun. Like Papuan sovereignty over the island of Papua, the mountain is permanent, unyielding, and immovable in the grand scheme of things, no matter who tries to alter it. Soon, Piligraun will be in a position to fully realize it.
