Entering the Provincial Capital late last night, a group of vigilante warriors under the ideological fireband Sha Chin-lung have opened fire on the crowd of protestors, who had formed to oppose the signing of the Sino-Japanese Treaty by the Peking Government. Working in conjunction with the police, the protestors have been dispersed, leaving at least 33 civilians killed and 173 wounded, with 3 members of the Sian Garrison killed, and another 5 wounded. Chief of Police for Sian, Sha Tung, has publicly thanked the vigilante fighter for restoring order to the city. Major Ma Ye of the Sian Garrison has condemned the violence, stating that the situation was already being carefully managed.

Governor Ma Tun-ching has yet to comment on the development, but his office has stated that Chin-lung was captured alive, and if he is found to be guilty will be tried. Ma Ye has suggested that Chin-lung will be prosecuted under the new Criminal Justice Code. Sha Tung disagrees, stating that Chin-lung and his vigilantes were deputized prior to action.
