In the Province of Kiangsi the economy highly relied on the corporate oligarchies known as the Harmonious Guilds. These guilds control a large percentage of the economy of Kiangsi much to the dismay of the Kuomintang leaders and thus the only way for Kiangsi to prosper is if the KMT works with the Guilds. An uneasy agreement has occurred wherein the Guilds are allowed to run their businesses in anyway they wish and the central government has no say in the business practices or rights of the Guilds in exchange for the KMT being able to be funded enough to run the province.

The Five Harmonious Guilds

1. New Righteousness and Peace Commercial and Industrial Guild / 新義安 (Vices and Construction)
2. Industrial and Commercial Bank of Heaven / 天工工商银行 (Stock Markets and Banks)
3. Society for the Protection of the Needy / 保护有需要者协会 (Charities and Hospitals/Clinics)
4. Honorable Craftsman of Railways / 铁道荣誉工匠 (Infrastructure)
5. Harmonious Farming Corporation / 和谐农业公司 (Food Production)

新義安: The greatest of the Five Honorable Guilds, technically the leading political power in Jiangxi. Has control over Construction and Industry. The Guild also owns all the casinos, opium dens, and bars across the province. They are the nominal leader of the Guilds and is treated as such, all Guild members bow before a member of the New Righteousness and Peace Guild.

天工工商银行: The second greatest of the Five Honorable Guilds, often given the name "Tuhao"; crass rich. They run the banks and the stock markets of Jiangxi. As they are one of the oldest Guilds, they are traditionalists and often argue with the Kuomantiang. Them and the Harmonious Farming Corporation make up what's known as the "Old Tigers" Clique.

和谐农业公司: The third greatest of the Five Honorable Guilds. They run the farms and produce all the food for Jiangxi. They are said to be staunch traditionalists and have quite commonly come to heads with the Kuomantiang. They are also a member of the "Old Tigers' Clique alongside the Bank of Heaven.

铁道荣誉工匠: The fourth greatest of the Five Honorable Guilds. They run infastructure such as trains and buses. They also hold the ports.

保护有需要者协会: The weakest of the Five Honorable Guilds. They run charities and hospitals across Jiangxi, often looking after the destitute.

With the Five Harmonious Guilds leading the majority of economic activity in Kiangsi, the KMT must accept their place within the fold of society as if they do not the entire country would crumble and the KMT would be forced out. The KMT needs the Guilds to run the country and the Guilds need the KMT to keep their aura of legitimacy.
