Rej tapped his polished boot on the hardwood floor methodically, as though he was purposefully measuring his own heartbeat to ensure that it stayed low and composed. His hands flew from one side of the tactical table to the other in a matter of moments as he marked several points of interest almost simultaneously. The surrounding generals stood around the extensive, detailed map of Ness as Rej pinned each individual hill and landmark of importance that could be considered useful to the invasion of Moray, all were in awe of the speed of which Rej exercised such a massive burden, as something like this would usually take hours, if not days — not minutes.
When he was finished, Rej stopped tapping his boot and took a deep breath, allowing time for the other commanders to examine the vast military enterprise that would become the future plans for the war against Moray. It would still take days to decide the full tactic of the complete invasion, but small things like this greatly decreased the time it took to keep moving — or start — on the front, which is what was needed more than ever as the Moranians were weakened.
