The hard patter of rain shook the insulated manor to its core, surprising even the most grizzled of guards. This was meant to be the holding place of the central core of the Machine God — benevolent protector of Aberdeenshire; how could water get through the cracks of this place?!

Small droplets of water seeped through the boarded windows of the manor as workers rushed to seal them further. There was no situation where the Machine God could be harmed in any capacity; nobody would allow it. Men with belts of tools and boards rushed over the crowds of civilians who had sought refuge in the manor of which their Lord called His home. Many prayed for forgiveness, and many more sat motionless, hoping for a better tomorrow.

While IMAGO DEI Himself was in no harm of being damaged by the several day’s storm over Aberdeenshire, He found that many of His extremities were not prepared for the extreme weather, leading to a small degradation of the elaborate system which He had pruned within the city over the years. It was a small problem on a grand scale, but it was certain that this year’s productivity would be slightly lower than last.

Rummaging through the old British archives of Ulster provided a small kind of insight for the occupying Irish forces. Thousands of pages of military tactics, logistics, and supply routes educated the Irish on how the Kitchener operation — as clunky as it may have been — operated as a military with a state. Much of this information has been packed up and moved back to Dublin to be studied by experts, and away from the prying eyes of Derry.
