"Vincent! I swear, I know you love it, but just because we are going up a river in a patrol boat does not mean to play the vinyl version of 'Fortunate Son'!" the officer barked loudly, having listened to the song for the past two hours on repeat
Vincent would jump up, becoming flustered as he would quickly take the needle off the disc, "S- sorry sir!" he would stammer out, "I would have had more music, but we left them back at the base." The officer would sigh, just deciding not to yell at Vincent some more.
The boat would fall silent as they slowly passed each village on the shore. While it would normally be a quick process, the captain did not want to spend any longer on the boat, and would rather just go slow and steady instead of refueling the vessel multiple times in the round trip. While previous expeditions had not gone this far north, Dundee expanded its reach into the region, bringing more civilians under the protective control of Dundee.
