The radio trailed off into static as the gritty fingernails of the man turned the knob to an unknown frequency which eventually led to more rackety voices coming from the box,

“The time has come… Let us do what we should have done years ago… Over.”

The dirtied hands left the knob and headed for a newly-shined FN-FAL which stood against the end table where the radio also sat.
