The United States of Sinai is a modern nation, even if it had just gotten out of a large civil war and been exiled to Matrouh. Unfortunately Matrouh is largely underdeveloped and no longer did Sinai have the economic power it once had. To rectify this problem, the US government has begun what is known as the “Make Sinai Great Again” initiative. The MSGA initiative will pump money into the economy by allowing low debt repayments to new businesses local and foreign, hopefully allowing the US to develop and modernise their economy even more. The State is also creating mixed owned businesses, with them being half owned by the government and the other half being owned by private investors.

These mixed businesses will be the leading force in creating the economic powerhouse that Sinai once was. These businesses are known as “Alzamrat”, which loosely translates to “Financial League”. The Alzamrat are industrial and financial vertically integrated business conglomerates within Sinai that are organised by leading government and non government officials. An Alzamrat’s general structure included a family owned holding company on top, and a bank which financed the other, mostly industrial subsidiaries within them.

Already though this has cause suspicion among the more radically left and right as many claim this is crony capitalism and a return to the days of nobility. The government assures those critics that no such thing is occurring.
