Kanaan looked out the window after his long incursion into a book, nothing but desert and ruin, the ancient roads provided a comfortable ride for him and his peers, and his armored Cadillac Seville was always nice to show around, even on long rides. Marduk only knew how his men were doing, they were riding on trucks that hadn’t seen the light of day for decades, and tanks that were seldom fired, due to ammunition conservation. Most of the army just had to play pretend when it came to that kind of stuff.
He glanced down at the map beside him in the back seat, red marker was all around it, depicting troop movement and other things. The beginning plans were relatively simple, meet up with a Black Chechen cadres in the Iraqi wastes, likely around Lake Van, they would accompany each other until the 2nd and 3rd Kanaanites broke off into Nejd border towns to await further instruction, while the Emperor’s Finest and Kanaan traveled to Cairo to organize and eventually be sent to the front line.
Not only was this war a chance for Babilim to flex its ever-growing muscles, but a chance to get the Saudi’s attention, and hopefully, alliance. This war would be sending Babylonian men to the frontlines along with the better equipped, trained and fed soldiers of the Nejd, maybe they’d learn a thing or two to help them with future conflicts.
Personally, Kanaan didn’t give a rats ass about this Mahdi character, Iran didn’t fear African politics, and to get involved was purely an act of uniformity with the larger, more influential nations.
