After the La Cosa Nostra made themselves known to the people of Kiryas Satmar, they begun a reign of expansion and criminal enterprise. The Five Families expanded into new territory, taking more and more of the rackets that were apart of the 'Kosher Nostra', the Jewish Mob. The Kingdom realised that they would not make the same mistakes of previous New York governments and just leave the Mafia to go unchecked, no, they would try and stop the growth before it became too late. However, it seemed the Mafia were always one step ahead. Whether it be leaving just before the police arrived, or even being given light sentences due to corrupt judges or politicians. It seems that the Mafia were untouchable even though the Five Families were well known to the police.

On the 4th of March a hitman from The Moretti family assassinated the head of the Jewish Mob, Levi Gordimer. This brazen act of violence announced a new era of crime in Kiryas Satmar, known as "L'epoca D'oro", the Golden Age. Without the Jewish Mob being in control of the criminal underbelly of Kiryas Satmar the government no longer had any chess pieces to play, they were completely uninvolved in state-crime. Even the smaller Jewish Mob groups were either hunted to extinction or absorbed into the Five Families. It had reached a point where the Five Families were openly defying government law, either through the production of drugs, assassinations, illegal bars and gambling rings, they were openly defying the Kingdom to it's face. Even the newly formed 'Mossad' security agency could not stop them nor get the warrants to arrest them. The de jure Kiryas Satmar was almost explicitly under the control of the Mafia, the La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately with the control of the underworld by the La Cosa Nostra, taxes to the government have been lower but the personal amount of money held by the public has only seemingly increased. The public have almost romanticised the La Cosa Nostra, the honourable criminal, a secret society of brothers who control the criminal underworld with an iron fist.

It would not be long before the La Cosa Nostra could openly take on the government especially with seemingly half the police force being on the Mafia payroll. Soon, the La Cosa Nostra will be in open rebellion with just as many weapons as the government could muster, gained from somewhat thin air.
