In the lands of the once Olympic National Park, small groups of tree-worshipping hippies flourished. They were left untouched by the past governments who didn't try and move into the vast forests in the park. The tree-worshippers, known as the Gaians, were peaceful people who did not carry weapons nor built industry, instead they worshipped the land and kept it clean so that they could be rewarded in their version of the after-life. Tough Shit. The Commonwealth of Rhodes needed that land for the production of materials, the vast forests were filled with timber, minerals, and valuable ores. A small force of Legal Militia were sent to the national park under the goal of settling this land for the Commonwealth, ensuring peace and prosperity in the northern region.

The Gaians, unarmed (like the filthy hippies they are) quickly fell to the Bush Force of the Commonwealth. They surrendered after one of the Rhodian soldiers pushed their leader over to which he exclaimed "Not cool man!". After that short burst of violence, the Gaians surrendered and the Commonwealth took control of the region.
