Venezuela is rich in gas! Everyone knows this, and Venezuela is rich because of it. However, most of the oil fields are split between competing private industries who are geared towards making a profit rather then for the good of the realm. For this reason, the "Real Compañía Petrolera Venezolana" (RCPV) was chartered by the Crown as the official state oil company. Through a series of seizures, enforcement of previously lenient laws, buyouts, and deals (some rather shady), much of Venezuela's gas fields have been brought under the control of the RCPV and thus the Crown and State. This will allow us to better manage our own oil and produce more of it to sell and increase the prosperity of the Kingdom.
