The history of the Republic of Venezuela was more or less finished by 1984- uncontrolled debt and economic crisis during the Presidency of Jaime Lusinchi eventually lead to a coup lead by Venezuela's previous president Carlos Andrés Pérez, assisted by the military and business owners. In his military-backed term, President Carlos Andrés Pérez would prove to be the strongman Venezuela needed to escape the horrors of the war happening in the mean time.
As sea levels rose, much of the country was engulfed by the sea. Chaos and turmoil followed, and much of the country was lost to Bolivarian rebels who declared their own Bolivarian Republic of Barinas. However, not all hope was lostâ as states rose and fell, Carlos AndrĂ©s PĂ©rez knew what he had to do.
After multiple elections postponed by the government and a Congress filled of yesman, it was clear that the President was nothing less then a dictator. A popular dictator however, as he was beloved by the people, military, and allied with the Catholic Priesthood and businesses. An attempted socialist military coup on the President made him decide that the Republic is weak and decadentâ on 1992, the president and his loyal followers enacted a self-coup, dissolving the Congress completely and being crowned Carlos I by Archbishop of Caracas JosĂ© LebrĂșn Moratinos. The Kingdom of Venezuela was born, an absolute monarchy ruled by the PĂ©rez dynasty.
Carlos I died on the 25h of November, 2010. He was ascended by his son Carlos Manuel, crowned King Carlos II. Carlos II vows to continue the work of his father, promising to steer the oil-filled nation to glory in an unclear era.
