With the end of the Great New England Fire, we have recently received word that a decent amount of Yankees on our Hudson coast that were affected did not seek shelter in other cities, but rather fled to northern Hudsonia. Since then, they have built a small community with local Hudsonians and they wish to rejoin our Kingdom. King Mahonic gladly welcomes them back, reintegrating their territory as the first Maine territory outside of the island. This new land is neighboring a small yet potent kingdom called Hudsonia, who has recently contacted Maineland. Hudsonia is led by a king named "Gregory Rodham", who has met King Mahonic in his own court, wishing to establish former diplomatic relations among the two nations. This was accepted by Vincent Mahonic.

Meanwhile, on the island, a tribe of Acadies (culturally and religiously similar to the Yankees) have recently been contacted by Maine scouts, while attempting to find the border with the Hudsonmen colony remnants. They have voted on joining our kingdom.
