Work is an absolute nightmare for you if you were one of the many involved in the logistics of keeping the massive Red Army up and running. Between various Soviet and American designs, various ever so different and changing systems and types, their varying designations, this mismatch is nowhere more evident than in the Red Army's artillery corps.
While most American governments utilize the 155mm as their standard battlefield gun, the Red Army has for the most part been procuring the massive M3 11-inch Howitzer as the standard battlefield howitzer. Despite that however, an eclectic mix of equipment both from the Federals as well as from old, scavenged hardware has also created an influx in weapons that are different and predominantly based on American designs. This causes massive issues with standardization, and as such the Red Army is working hard to resolve this issue with ground pounder non conformity. It is likely that most of the lower caliber pieces will be withdrawn from service, and the M3 11-inch now serving across most divisions, not just the shock armies.
