The Communist Control Act was shot down in Congress 3 years ago which inevitably doomed the Federation to leftist encroachment of national politics. The State of Georgia at the time stood in favor of the CCA since its inception as the last stand of reaction within Congress and with its deathnell, heralded the end of Georgian participation in the Union. Communists and their infectious ideology are spreading across the fallen United States like a cancer, claiming the power vacuum Washington has left behind and destroying America as we know it.
Georgia stood against this abomination since the beginning but even this bastion of reaction still possesses dissidents within its ranks. The 1944 Georgia Constitution enshrined the right for members of civil society to associate themselves with any organization should they wish. This allowed for labor unions to become dominant in politics during the Democratic Party's reign and has represented a key interest group opposed to our rule.
The Renewalists submitted a bill to Congress to adopt the fallen Communist Control Act and adopt it at the national level, with harsher language against individuals associated with Georgian labor unions. The Communist Party of Georgia would be banned and its members prosecuted for sedition alongside the leadership of Georgia's most prominent unions. The GBIS is to be given free reign to find and arrest any individual suspected of ties to the Communist Party, the IWW, Atlanta Industrial Labor or any foreign influenced civil organization listed under the Congressional Board of Blacklisted organizations. The bill passed Congress but not with an absolute majority as several brave Democrat politicians voted against it, on the grounds of unconstitutionality.
President Talmadge viewed this development as a worrying sign of the Democratic Party's slow realization of its position and spoke with Renewalist lawmakers over the possibility of drafting a Constitutional Convention alongside other member states in Georgia's orbit.
