The Arkansas Campaign has taught us the importance of aircraft in the fight for control over the battlespace. Not only did we turn the tide against the Federalists but we also trounced upon our mortal enemies in the shape of the Aetiopians in the air. There is no doubt among Georgian strategists that in any future war, control of the air is vital for victory.
The military budget has been rebalanced for 1957 to account for these lessons. Bell Aircraft Corporation and Delta Inc. have been approved new expansion programs for the Marietta factory floor and R&D facilities in order to place new prototypes in mass production. The Bell P-56 Foxbat is the latest air superiority fighter developed by Bell. Faster, with longer range and more agile than her predecessor the P-39, the P-56 is expected to roll off the assembly lines by next year. So is the latest variants in torpedo bombers and light close air support bombers that will serve in the Georgian Air Force.
