The state of Colorado is crooked. It was apparent within hours of entering Trinidad — plainclothes gunmen around every corner, scoped in on us! Those boys had no respect for the law until we proved the deciding force. After a brief investigation of the town, we found that an unidentified man had been running the town as a liaison for the United States — not a soul interview claimed to have seen or know the name of this man. We distributed the necessities to civilians and went on.

Walsenburg was more habitable. The local law enforcement had formed a partisan watch to keep the rabble out. They were immediately amicable to the idea of patrolling the greater region on our behalf, given we supply them with the proper logistics and support.

Pueblo was what could only be described as the Devil manifest! Children in rags walking the streets like medieval serfs! Pennypicking police officers roamed the streets like they couldn’t see what was going on around them — some of them were even so brave as to confront us, walking in formation. Only one small exchange of gunfire, then we put a shell in that hollowsouled police precinct to make a point. Folks cheered.

Resource procurement was not as fruitful as we expected, but we have still procured a generous number of tons of steel, as well as the basic machinery to cast our own. All on behalf of the crooked Mayor of Pueblo’s generous concession. We made our intentions clear on our eventual return.

Rocky Ford, La Junta, Las Animas, and Lamar proved prime cases of corruption and general government lawlessness. A fair few brawls took place between ours and theirs, but we always proved the deciding force.

After this investigation, I do believe beyond no doubt that the government of Colorado has collapsed to what may be anarchy, or communism. Our support certainly assured our position to the civilian population, who begged our return almost unanimously.
