Communist Party of New England Double Edict 1955.a.1; Phasing PLANE Policing of the States of Vermont and New Hampshire to Establish Public Committees, as well as Undertaking an End to Gender Discrimination Utilizing the Maine Model
People's Daily -
The Standing Committee has sponsored two edicts within the first week of the year of 1955, of which will liberate the people, and promote happiness and prosperity. For the first time ever, People’s Liberation Army soldiers will no longer be permitted or endorsed by the Party to patrol the countryside freely, ending the long-standing precedent of military tribunals being the primary law enforcement policy of the People’s Republic. Comrade Mard was the first of the Standing Committee to propose such an action during the Maine Revolution, suggesting instead to establish civilian law committees, similar to the wealth redistribution councils being organized at the time. Although the structuring of the proposition was interrupted by the brutal bombing campaigns of fascist Joseph Martin, the idea never waned. Now, as the fascists ebb from the territories of the People’s Republic, and peace is evermore close, the need for military ‘law’ has dwindled, and communities across New England can now be entrusted to police themselves to NEPA legal expectation. NEPA predicts that the project to establish ‘People’s Courts’ should only be expected to take a few months, as cadres of each commune are assigned roles to ensure NEPA legal expectation; after which, the PLANE will be ordered to garrison across the nation strategically, and to undergo extensive examen to ensure a robust and organized platform.
The Standing Committee, in tandem with the edict of ending PLANE policing, also promoted a national Anti-Gender Discrimination edict, of that was nearly identical to the Maine Edict No.4, which was promoted in 1951, and was announced a “Resounding success” by the CMLA in 1954. Women were shown to be more than capable of adopting masculine labor roles, as well showing fit for service in the People’s Liberation Army. The prediction of a birth rate stoppage, as well as marriage decline by the CMLA, was not as severe as expected, and it has been suggested by CMDC data that more marriages have been taking place throughout Maine, presumably due to women’s equal participation in combat against the Canadian fascists. Comrade Ron announced during a NEPA speech immediately after the edicts were passed that “All women will be free to pursue their own socialist future, and all women will be free to live under a fair and just society.” It is expected that, with the enforcement of anti-gender discrimination policies, female Party cadres will frequent the halls of NEPA in a ratio never before seen. Equality is truly near!
