History

The days of old had once again returned to the Baltics, without the cruel watch of the Russian Empire and their lackeys, the lands of the Baltendeutsch prospered. After the collapse of the Russian Empire the remaining Baltendeutsch nobility raised a motley force (Baltische Landeswehr) to push out the last remaining elements of the Kurland Governorate soldiers in what is now known as 'Tag der Befreiung' or 'Liberation Day'. Once the Landeswehr beat back and routed the Russian soldiers the Baltendeutsch nobility formed a provisional government to help stabilise the war-torn cities and towns as well as creating a rule of law.

The Provisional Government of the Baltics lasted for over two years in which they set up administrative centres, enacted new laws, and promoted the return to traditional living. Luckily, the Russian Governorate had setup a few structural policies that would allow an easy adaption to Baltendeutsch societal norms. After the Provisional Government had reached its natural end, the nobility called a Diet to help formulate a permanent government in the Baltics based upon the 'Old Way' of the Baltendeutsch.

In 2035 the Baltendeutsch formed the 'United Noble League of Livland, Kurland, and Ösel' (Vereinigter Adelsbund von Livland, Kurland und Ösel), a league formed around the nobility who so courageously fought against the Russian oppressors. This state would be built upon a Noble Semi-Autonomous Confederation and the practice of 'Eidgenossenschaft', or the 'Oath Alliance'; an 'eternal pact' formed between the thirty-nine different Freiherr and Graf holdings of the Baltics.

Now in 2036, the Baltendeutsch League has established stability in the region and is ready to come to the world stage.
