Overview
Moldavia has not the industrial might of some other nations. Yet its food export industry continues to boom, and new logistical problems have emerged. How to make sure that the products can be transported effectively? Our export customers will not be glad to wait for languid logistics. Further, Moldavia has not the Naval reach to be able to guarantee our own waterways, never mind the thousands of km travelled by food cargo ships, around Europe.
The need for a Moldavian railroad able to connect us to our friends in Poland, to our Northwest, is now undeniable.
The Plan
Moldavia will build a railroad able to unite all our provinces. This will be no mean feat - much of our coastal land is marshy and replete with rivers - fabulous for growing certain agricultural produce, but hard for logistics. Most of our products in those areas are moved by small flat barges.
We will build railroads in all these places able to ensure that Moldavian food of all sorts can reach export customers briskly, and reliably. For reliability, though, we simply must increase our security abilities. Moldavia has a small armed forces by many standards, and we are too deeply concentrated in our hisotric Southlands, around the Dniester Delta.
We will move Military formations, and build new bases, extensively through our North, East, and West, to ensure our rapid reaction to any unwelcome military situation, is effective. We will recruit more defensive units to ensure we can not be caught off guard by sudden incursions, and so we can ensure the railroads stand, no matter what.
