Orders coming straight from New Alexandria with the royal seal has arrived at the various encampments set up by the Royal Pharaonic Army regarding re-establishing control of some of the border regions of Egypt. These orders had already been relayed to the Royal Pharaonic Navy, which had sent ships to temporarily control the gap between Ptolemaic Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula as well as an island off the coast of the Western Bank. The orders themselves, supposedly from the current Pharaoh Basileia Ptolemy III, are in fact coming from his favored minister. One of the primary active members of the Ptolemaic court that wields power in day-to-day governance, the mobilization of both navy and army is seen as his opportunity to attempt to weed out the corruption and waste that had grown within the military over the years of inactivity.

Internally, the decree has been hammed up by propaganda and powerful elites aligned with the decision as the Pharaoh finally acting to restore control over the rest of Egypt. The last decades have softened much of the public's view on any sort of unified Egypt under the Pharaoh or his family, but the symbolism and language coming from the court has remained revanchist and confident even so. Whether those surrounding the oft impotent monarch actually plan on doing so or if this is another false showing of Pharaonic military power is yet to be seen.
