i know this sub loves to hate on roddy ricch's wack ass verse, and i think that's fair, but i still have such a soft spot for cooped up. and specifically his snl performance of it.

it was the first song we got from post since the pandemic "ended," and it just so purely expresses how i felt during quarantine and the freedom of being back in the world after all that time. his performance was so energetic and i love all his goofy lil hand gestures and moves (the ok sign when he says "cost you three stacks," the way he expertly grabs the fallen mic pack and keeps dancing on through it). his outfit is absolutely fire and i remember watching snl that night and thinking, "he's back. the world is right again."

i know, i know.... i pull up i pull up i pull up i pull uppppp

but if we can just appreciate for a moment what an absolute banger cooped up is despite roddy's mess, that would make my day.
