Isn't it strange how being positive has become somewhat of a rarity in many corners of the internet or within certain large groups? It's like optimism has become taboo, and negativity is the currency. Most people seem to use negativity as a shield to boost their ego or mask their insecurities. Actively choosing to be a nice person every day is a real challenge. Many may claim to embrace positivity, but the practice often falls short.
I'm not perfect. In the early stages of my journey, I mistakenly believed that knowing things others didn't somehow made me superior—a notion that contradicts the very principles I was learning. Oddly, the ones who taught me weren't always the nicest, but they usually had a positive message somewhere in there. It's funny how positivity resonates so much better when it's delivered with kindness.
Let's all strive to be a bit more positive and nicer to each other. Acknowledge and celebrate those who share positivity, and don't forget to pat yourself on the back when you're doing the same. Life's tough and being positive is like having a secret weapon. It won't solve everything, but it sure helps you face the hard stuff.
This thought occurred to me when I was browsing YouTube. If you type positivity, at least for me, there aren't many recent search results with a million views plus. (Many great ted talks though!) It's so easy to find recent and popular results when you search things like toxic, or any kind of drama. (Youtubers reacting) Like instead of making good content, a lot of it is just complaining about all the bad content. It's kind of like how the news doesn't ever really share a positive and uplifting story, it makes it appear the world is full of violence and bad things, which is very far from the truth. It's just a perception that has been created. There are so many kind people doing amazing things, and I think it's our jobs as internet users to start making those people feel prouder about what they are doing! Show those people we see and applaud what they are doing! I just think it would be cool to actually make being positive a character trait again, instead of a short term action or stunt for attention and views.
Feel free to share anyone here that you think is doing something positive and could use some support and congratulations!
