Husband tested positive for HSV-2
Post Body

Hi, husband tested positive for HSV-2 this week. We are swingers. he’s never had an outbreak or any symptoms and continues to be symptomless. I tested negative. I wonder if this could be a false positive has anybody had one of those? If he remains symptomless, what are the recommendations on disclosing before we play with other partners? I really wish we just didn’t test for this so we wouldn’t even know. It’s crazy that these tests aren’t included in the standard STI testing but we wanted to be thorough and requested HSV testing this time around. I can see why they don’t include it because since he has no symptoms, I feel like this is a big head fuck for us. Any advice on how to disclose for future partners would help. Is this prevalent in the swinging lifestyle and nobody just brings it up if they never show symptoms? We just got into the lifestyle this year, so it’s crazy how fast this has happened. In theory, there’s probably so many people with this and don’t even know they have it right? Which is probably how my husband contracted it. Any advice helps..
