Is there a solo boost pedal for the spark 40?

I want a pedal that will boost my volume when I switch from rhythm to a solo. I now have setup a lower rhythm preset and 3 louder solo presets and use the spark control. But a separate boost pedal would be best. Will the new control X do this? I tried a boost pedal between the guitar and amp but not really satisfying. Any ideas? Thanks
