Good Morning Everyone!

We here at r/Portland are seeking a few good people to join our team and take part in shaping and maintaining the subreddit in to the future. We are opening up applications to be a mod of this lovely little sub and would love to get some new voices!

In order to be considered, there are some requirements:

• At least 3 years active on Reddit
• Regular participation in r/Portland
• Must have history on Reddit going back several years (no comment/post purging)
• A minimal-to-no history of trolling within this sub
• Currently live in the Portland Metro area (suburbs are okay)
• Ability to be online regularly to help clear the modqueue and participate in the Slack channel discussions
• Moderator Toolbox on desktop (modding from mobile also okay)
• Required participation in Slack channel

Skills that are preferred:

• CSS/html coding
  
• Experience with automod
  
• Prior moderating experience

You can nominate yourself or someone else, but only if you talk to that person first and get their permission. In the past we have had a public voting round, but we will be forgoing that again given the special interest people outside of the area have had about our city over the past couple years. If you have any concerns about anyone you see interested in being a mod, send us a message or report their comment - do NOT be mean in the comments. Keep discussions civil.
