Trucks being used as Weapons - Ram, Ford, Toyota Need to Speak Out Against Violence
Post Body

20 minutes ago I was almost in a head on collision with a Red Truck While Panels. He was in my lane doing at least 45 mph on SE 46th near Lewis School. There was a kid on a bike in the bike lane, and a woman on a bike going the other way.

Truck-man was SCAREY and driving way too fast. As he rounded the curve he skidded past me and looked positively delighted that he was peeling out with an audience.

I’m no stranger to seeing guys using trucks who come to Portland to harass people (I’ve seen them go after cyclists specifically). I’ve experienced this on the occasional weekend, (assuming people come out for joyrides to the “Big City” to “kick some ass”). But this is Monday in the middle of the day.

I’ve now seen multiple images and witnessed truck aggression and violence. Ford, Ram, and Toyota need to make a statement against the violence. Big truck culture is something they help to create, and over-the-top, aggressive masculinity is what they are selling/pushing. It’s getting people killed.

EDIT: I didn’t realize I needed to draw the correlation so specifically - The Right has weaponized big trucks and them to intimidate/kill people. Big trucks are becoming a symbol of hatred.
