Local places to sell musical instruments
Post Body

I'll be moving soon, and possibly even buying a house. I'm looking to pawn off my drum set. I tried the craigslist route, but I'm wanting to get rid of it before I move, just to make my move that much quicker.

Are there any recommended shops that buy used drums? I'd rather hit a local business that specializes in musical instruments, and not a place like USA Pawn.

If it helps, it is a 6 Piece Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage Fusion kit. With an 8, 10, 12, and toms & 14 hanging tom. 20"x17" bass.

The Snare is a 14"x5.5" DW Performance Series All-Maple Snare Drum.

It has rack hardware as well as the original YESS hardware.

Cymbals:

  • 20" Zildjian ZXT Titanium Ride
  • 20" Paiste 502 Ride - Damaged, but may be able to be repaired.
  • 16" Zildjian Custom A Crash - Great Condition, needs cleaning.
  • 13" Zildjian A Mastersound Hi-Hat; Top & Bottom - Great Condition, needs cleaning.

The mounting hardware on the bass got a bit bent out of shape, but this can be replaced. There are some little scuff marks from the former band mates. Drum heads are used, and may want to be replaced, but they probably still have some good mileage in them. I had other cymbals, but they have "mysteriously vanished".

I left the band when they started getting into drugs and were getting mid-week gigs up in Seattle and down in Roseburg. I suspect they may have pawned off some of the cymbals for gas money and/or weed.

I also have some Congas and Bongos I may be interested in selling as well.
