Good morning :)
So I'll be honest. I'm not sure if I'm in the right group.
I'll be straightforward and say that I don't think masturbation in and of itself is wrong (unless it's excessive and takes away from your life).
My problem is with porn, especially when you get more aroused by the scenes and images on a screen, than an in-person partner right in front of you.
My self-pleasure habit since I was a teenager has been to use porn as a catalyst, rather than being one with my body and using my imagination. And now that I'm older, I want to have a healthy sexual relationship with myself.
To clarify:
1: Not sure if this is the right group for this post.
2: I'm single. Got out of a tough relationship last year and I'm not looking to date. Trying to lose weight, get my health in check, building better more productive habits. So I'm stuck at a crossroads where I'm not trying to date and build that libido energy with a partner, but I'm also not trying to fall back into that vicious cycle of mindless porn watching and obsession.
