All over, even in small towns it seems as though Popeyes is either facing disruption in its supply chains, where the franchises can't keep their stores adequately stocked; and what's there is below par for human consumption.
Or, labor shortages, which tells me that the chains do not pay their employees enough above minimum wage for them to give a shit AND put up with abuse and awful interactions with customers.
3 years ago, people were legit getting stabbed over chicken sandwiches, so it leads me to ask. Is there a way out for the chain? Or is this the chickens coming home to roost?
If they are owned by Z&H they are being run poorly. I worked at one that was independently owned then was bought out by zh. The moment they took over it was a shitshow.
The higher ups were miserable and the environment was miserable.
Not to mention they can’t keep employees. They hire literally anyone. But they can’t retain them. Not to mention that they are calling old employees who walked off due to crappy conditions to please please come back.
There are more factors, I’m sure. But I just don’t like them.
