I am a new pawrent and just got a Pomeranian end of August. He’s a very good pup. He doesn’t really bark hence he’s not vocal at all (I live in a condominium) which is a good thing!
The night I brought him back - I made a playpen for him and made him play and sleep in the pen for more than 3 days without letting him out. He’s pee pad trained as well.
He never cries at night or whenever we are out which I think he doesn’t really have separation anxiety except for certain occasion where he bites and plays with his pee pad when we are out for work.
Of course, now we will let him out to play and roam around the house when we are at home and will always put him back in his playpen when it’s time to sleep. He is okay to sleep alone in the playpen and will never cry or whine.
We wanted to let him sleep with us in the same room on his own bed in the floor but is afraid that we will make him cling to us even more and have separation anxiety later on as we won’t be at home for a good 8-9 hours cause of work and we will definitely put him back in his playpen.
Will letting him sleep with us in the same room affect him and create separation anxiety in the future?
You know the answer… hell yes! Look at that baby!
