Any water-based pomades that leave hair feeling like a wax?

I prefer water based because my hair is rather thin so the wax was always kind of heavy but I liked how the wax left your hair more soft whereas water based hardens it more like a gel, any ideas?
Edit: meant Oil based not wax*
