Does your/your spouses' families know?

Hi all,
I'm newly treading down this path and one of the big things that I'm nervous about is telling family. My family is close with each other and is of course very important to me. They're generally very supportive of anything, but I'm not sure how they would feel about me suddenly having a 2nd, 3rd, etc wife.
Did you tell your family? Did any difficulties arise from it?
